The word phobia is derived from the Greek Phbos meaning fear, or morbid fear.
Phobias are not limited to a certain type of person they can affect men and women, young and old. Phobias can affect anyone and everyone, the rich, the poor, and people all over the world.
The ten most commonly experienced phobias are:

Many people try to cope with phobias by arranging their lives so that they can avoid the situations that trigger their phobic response. The fear experienced when they come into contact with their trigger can be so extreme that the phobia prevents them from leading a normal life.
The good news is that almost all phobias can be managed.
